MAYFAIR HOTEL & TERRA NOVA ALL SUITE HOTEL

From the Mayfair to Terra Nova: Mitchell & Domane’s Intimate Day

When a wedding is kept small, with only the closest friends and family, the energy in the room changes. It’s less about a performance and more about a shared experience. Mitchell and Domane’s day in Kingston was exactly that—simple, intimate, and full of genuine happiness.

A Calm Morning at the Mayfair

The morning at the Mayfair Hotel was calm and focused. There’s something so special about a bride who stays present enough in the moment to do her own daughter’s hair before putting on her gown. It wasn't a hectic scene; it was just a mother and daughter sharing a quiet morning before the day truly began.

The Moment Everything Clicked

The moment the world gets quiet and it’s just the two of you. Mitchell’s smile says it all—nerves turned into pure happiness the second she locked eyes with Domane.

At the ceremony at Terra Nova, Mitchell seemed a bit serious at first—maybe some nerves or just the anticipation of the moment. But the second she looked at Domane, she let out the most beautiful smile, and you could see her whole body relax. From that point on, they were both just locked in and enjoying every second together.

Capturing the "Why"

I’ve always believed that a photo of a smile is great, but a photo that shows why someone is smiling is even better. One of my favorite shots shows Domane’s father beaming with joy, with the couple blurred in the foreground.

I love capturing moments in context because it tells the full story—you aren't just seeing a happy face; you're seeing the pride of a father witnessing his son’s union.

Laughter, Toasts, and Raw Energy

The reception really highlighted that close-knit feel. The toasts were incredibly personal, with a few of the speakers sounding like professional comedians and sparking bursts of laughter across the room. When the music started, the room found its own rhythm—while some enjoyed the quiet intimacy of the evening, a good part of the group really brought the energy to the dance floor.
